A federal lawmaker representing Alimosho Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Olufemi Adebanjo has called for massive public sensitisation on the need for electorates to exercise their voting rights during elections. Eyes Open has he is fondly called made this call after casting his vote during Saturday’s local government elections in Lagos State. The lawmaker voted at Ward C, Polling Unit 026 Akowonjo in Alimosho Local Govt. Speaking with our correspondent, he said more enlightenment would enable the electorate to understand the essence of elections and the need to vote. He advised the electorates to always come out and exercise their franchise, adding that grassroots election was critical in electioneering. He expressed satisfaction with the voting process, saying that the most important thing was to have a free, fair and credible election.
