The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Mr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad, has denied  allegation that bothers on “breach of contract code”, raised by Donnington Nigeria Limited. Salihijo, while responding to a petition to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) by the firm denied any wrong doing. The allegation had claimed that the MD/CEO, was a Director in Velocity Logistics and Marine Services Ltd (Velocity) while equally serving as the MD/CEO of the Rural Electrification Agency. In providing clarification on the issue, Salihijo, said, “It became necessary to respond to this claim as it is untrue and defamatory. According to Hon.Olasoji Olayinka "We are doing this to help the indigent students  within Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA political wards in the memory of our dear mother. Education they say, "Makes a people easy to lead but difficult to drive; easy to govern, but impossible to enslave.” "So, the best gift one can give is education," he concluded. The Catholic residents of the Brazilian quarters of Lagos Island hosted its first frejôn fiesta to mark 2023 Easter celebration. Frejon is a coconut milk and bean soup which is eaten especially during Holy Week by a selection of Christians, mostly Catholics, across the world. Lagos state Governor’s wife , Dr. Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, represented by  Ms. Ebun Carrena,  kicked started the distribution of Frejôn  to people at Kakawa’s home of Candido Joao Da Rocha ,  before  moving to  Carrena street and other distribution points and finally berthed at Popo Aguda. Ms. Carrena accompanied by Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Art & Culture, Pharm.
