Agbado Oke odo: Nulge Election, why you should reject 'AGEMO'

 Comrades,

 

 Our attention has been drawn  to the financial atrocities committed by the acting  NULGE branch  Chairman,  Mr Oladehinde AGEMO and his  several attempts to divide the staffs along partisan lines. 

 

We in the UNION have been daily bombarded with reports of the exploitative actions of this impostor which to a large extent has brought the name of the Union name  into  disrepute.

 We are hereby compel for prosterity sake to expose his unholy activities and on the other hand to urge him to  desist from further denigrating the principles under which the LABOUR MOVEMENT was formed and known for. 

 

1) LOGISTICS FOR PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

The Local Government administration made provision of  N1million for the entertainment of member of staffs who were available for the election and passed the night within the council premises after which they are to  mobilize  to their respective polling units on the election day.

 It is on record that on such occasion, staffs are expected to be well fed as money given to them are meant to cover individual logistics. 

 

A cow is to be slaughtered, so as to provide food for everyone present. This can not be said about what was witnessed on that day.

 The food prepared was for less than 50 staffers who turned up for the exercise while  most of them were  denied the statutory five thousand  as cost of logistics.

 

In Agemo's wisdom, each staff is entitled to two - thousand naira instead of the pegged five thousand naira.

 

 2)  GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION LOGISTICS

A leopard never changes its spots.

This time round, The  Executive Chairman had  mobilized more staffs  to the local government so as to have more votes as against the previous election.

Over 200 staffs were at the council on the night prior to the election day, a cow was slaughtered  at the instruction of the Executive Chairman,  food and drinks provided. 

However, acting in disregard of the instruction of the Chairman, who specifically directed that every staff who are ready  to pass the night at the Council  should be given five thousand naira as inconvenient token.

 Trust, Agemo would not disappoint, he dolled out two - thousand naira as he did during the Presidential election. Even the two - thousand naira was selectively shared. We have it on good authority and from a reliable source that, provision were made for  165 staffs at five thousand  per individual.  

 WE ASK;

•Where in the NULGE constitution is the NULGE Branch Chairman (Interim) empowered to make payments on behalf of the union

 where exist  a substantive Nulge TREASURER and SECRETARY?

 

•What is the criteria employed by  'Agemo' to determine who gets what amount? 

•Agemo made over four - hundred thousand naira in the both elections at the expense other members.

•Is Agemo and his co-travellers bigger than than others?  

Conclusively, we humbly appeal to the management of the Local Government to desist from according special privileges to him  because he lacks acceptability and transparency. He is only  occupying the  office in an acting capacity without our collective mandate.
